Né à La Baule en 1947, Loïc Mallié, très jeune, décide de poursuivre parallèlement ses études générales et ses études musicales. En 1966 il obtient son baccalauréat (section philosophie) et en 1971 il est licencié en droit. Pendant ce temps il obtient un premier prix d'orgue en 1968 au Conservatoire de Rennes.

Après quoi il entre au Conservatoire de Paris dans les classes des plus grands maîtres, en particulier Olivier Messiaen et il y obtient successivement : Un Premier Prix d'Harmonie (1974) - Un Premier Prix de Contrepoint et un Premier Prix de Fugue (1975) - Un Premier Prix d'Improvisation (1978) - Un Premier Prix d'Orgue (1979).

Loïc Mallié a remporté également plusieurs Concours Internationaux : un Premier Prix d'Improvisation au piano à Lyon (1977) - un Premier Prix d'Improvisation en orgue à Lyon (1979) - un Grand Prix d'Improvisation à Chartres (1982).

Entretemps il a obtenu le C. A. d'écriture et a été nommé professeur au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon où il enseigne l'écriture et l'improvisation ainsi qu'à Musikene, le Centre supérieur d'enseignement musical de San-Sebastian (Espagne).

En 1989 il a été nommé, par concours, titulaire du grand orgue de Saint Pothin à Lyon après avoir été co-titulaire avec Jean-Claude Henry du grand orgue de Saint-Pierre de Neuilly pendant quinze ans.

Loïc Mallié est régulièrement invité par différents festivals pour des jurys, des masterclasses et des concerts (Allemagne, Italie, Espagne, Islande, Pologne, Suède, Norvège, Angleterre, Canada …).

Il a composé de nombreuses pièces pour orgue, piano, musique de chambre, orchestre, chœurs, aux Editions Lemoine, Billaudot, Notissimo, Fuzeau, Rubin.

Il a également gravé plusieurs disques consacrés surtout à la musique du 20ème siècle (Casterède, Claustre) et à l'improvisation aux éditions REM, Verany et Hortus. After this he worked in the National Academy of Music in Paris with some of the most prestigious masters (J. Rueff, H. Puig-Roget, O. Messiaen, M. Bitsch) and there Loïc Mallié obtained successively : First Prize for Harmony (1974) - First Prize for Fugue (1975) - First Prize for Counterpoint (1975) - First Prize for Improvisation (1978) - First Prize for organ (1979).
Loïc Mallié also took part in numerous international competitions and obtained : First Prize for Improvisation on the piano in the Lyon international competition (1977) - First Prize for improvisation on the organ in the Lyon international competition (1979) - First Grand Prix for improvisation in the Chartres international competition (1982).
In the meantime, in 1977, Loïc Mallié had obtained the Certificate for composing. From 1980 he was appointed to the National Academy of Music in Lyon as a teacher of music composition, analysis and improvisation, as well as in the National Academy of Music in San Sebastian (Spain).
In 1989, after a competitive selection, Loïc Mallié was chosen to hold the responsability for the great organ of Saint Pothin in Lyon, after having been the deputy holder for the great Cavaillé-Coll organ of Saint Peter at Neuilly for 15 years.

Loïc Mallié is a regular guest in numerous festivals to perform on the organ in concerts or masterclasses in France and abroad (Germany, Italy, Spain, Iceland, Po-land, Norway, Great Britain, Canada, …)

He also composed important pieces of works for the organ, the piano, chamber music, the orchestra and choirs, wich were published by Lemoine, Billaudot, Notissimo and Fuzeau.
